Currently reading this Handbook. It is so on point with the Imperial Codes and overall militaristic principles, you almost want to believe it is real, (I know the movies are). My only minor complaint is getting these doors to close on the mechanism itself. It's a bit misaligned, kinda wish the manufacturer had a "button" that opens and closes the doors. I also would have liked a larger paperback of the Imperial Starships to compliment the handbook, considering the box it came in. Very cool though if you're a fan / collector.

Definitely buy the Deluxe -- it's worth it!

Definitely buy the Deluxe edition of this book -- it's worth it for an adult collector. I have the other Deluxe editions such as The Jedi Handbook, Book of Sith, and Bounty's Hunter's Code (all of which I would highly recommend as well!). This edition had less bonus items enclosed compared to the other books, which was a bit disappointing to me, but the opening case was still very impressive.
The text of the book is very well-written and really puts you "into" the Star Wars Universe from the point of view of the Empire. Since most books are from the Good Guys' perspective, it is interesting to look at the Galactic Civil War from the Imperial side. I would recommend this deluxe edition to a Star Wars fan who enjoys books that make the SW universe seem real.

The book is very nice quality and a fun read

The book is very nice quality and a fun read. It covers all aspects of the Imperial Military including infrastructure, machinery, troop types an propaganda. Throughout the book the are comments written Luke, Leia, Han and other characters which helps this from being to stale. The case it comes in is very cool! The only negative is that the case can be difficult to close.
