Great Information - Up to Date (as of 2013)

The problem with books on Youtube and digital media is that this industry changes so fast that the information could be out of date before the book is even published. This book has enough evergreen topics that it makes sense for now at least.

There are plenty of real life examples from top Youtube web series creators and Youtube stars. You get to read interviews from people that have created totally different web series, not just scripted of vlogs.

There isn't much information about getting the production down, so if you are going to try and some high production value, you might want a book on budgeting and scheduling productions.

It would help if there was a supplemental website for anybody who bought the book with more resources or a blog of updates and trends.

A little too basic

A little too basic for what I was looking for. But the interviews etc were a nice read. I was hoping to find more info on genre studies for web series, and even more detailed info on marketing and Promotion. The book just skims over these essential details.
It says allot money for marketing. Does not say how to go about it.

This study traces the development of close air support tactics and operations in South Vietnam from 1961 through 1973. The early years (1961-64) witnessed the buildup of Farm Gate operations and introduction of the Tactical Air Control System (Barn Door). Tactics evolved for the 0-1 Bird Dog FAC and for such strike aircraft as the T-28 Trojan, B-26 Invader, and A-lE Skyraider. During the buildup (1965-68) the 0-2A Skymaster and OV-10 Bronco bolstered forward air control. Strike operations were strengthened by the F-100 Super Sabre, B-57 Canberra, F-4 Phantom, F-5 Freedom Fighter, and A-37 Dragonfly. Gunships (the AC-47 Spooky, AC-130 Spectre, AC-119G Shadow, and AC-119K Stinger) also gave excellent assistance to group troops. Support of Special Forces commenced. Tactics were further refined to meet the changing needs of close air support. In the final period (1969-73) the OV-10 acted as an armed FAC. The A-7 Corsair II entered the war. Lastly, the study discusses the A-10 close air support aircraft.

As applied to emotions, generic truth is closer to those original meanings: as in a portrait's fidelity or friend's loyalty. Taken in this sense, the notion of emotional truth opens up large vistas on areas of life essential to our existence as social beings, and to our concerns with beauty, morality, love, death, sex, knowledge, desire, coherence, and happiness. Each of those topics illustrates some facet of the dominant theme of the book: the crucial but often ambivalent role of our emotions in grounding and yet also sometimes undermining our values. Emotions act, in holistic perspective, as ultimate arbiters of values where different and independently justified standards of value compete.

About the Author

Ronald de Sousa grew up in Switzerland and the United Kingdom. After completing school in France, he obtained a B.A. from Oxford, and a Ph.D. from Princeton. When you understand the emotional basis of your theorizing, then you become partially capable of guiding your theorizing in relation to physical reality. You become less vulnerable to emotional distortions.

Competence in this understanding is worth cultivating.

Review of Emotional Truth

Contemporary, detailed, full of thought provoking ideas, this rather expensive book is written in the extremely technical jargon of philosophers. It requires a dictionary at hand and I can only read a few pages at one sitting. But I want to learn and am plowing through it. Because emotion and logic are processed by different parts of the brain and truth is traditionally thought of as an intellectual construct, it is almost an oxymoron to treat emotion and truth in the same phrase. However useful insights can often be gained by picking up the stick by the other end. If you are willing to do the work to understand it, it is a gold mine.

This book is a spiral into madness. Janice is the epitome of crazy in this short, deliciously twisted novella from the Marked Series by Elena M. Reyes.

If you are a fan of this series then you have been waiting for the lovely Elena Reyes to allow us a peek into the psychosis of Janice; the ever determined, obsessed, intoxicating and maniacal ex-lover of Talan and supreme threat to Maya his new love. Janice is a ticking time bomb. And in this novel we get an intimate view into her deranged way of life. But we get something else as well. We are introduced to a Janice that is vulnerable, fearful and lonely. A Janice that despite the fascinating train wreck that she is you can't help but feel a sliver of sympathy for. You can't help but want to fix her, help her, and put the pieces of her shattered heart back together.

Reyes makes the reader both cower in fear and reach out in compassion when it comes to Janice. She provides the reader with a painful story that allows them to connect with Janice in a way that was absent in the first two books of the series. We saw her as a monster, a mean spirited individual full of spite and jealously. But in this book we see a frightened and exposed woman trying to hold on to the tethers of what at one time filled her heart with happiness. We see someone who is defenseless against their own mental anguish; and it is that confession of her soul that will leave your mind reeling with mixed emotions and yearning for more of this character's story. Great addition to the Marked series that both compliments and intensifies the story

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Janice from the Marking Her and Marking Him series is back in this short read by Elena Reyes. She has felt abandoned,thrown away,and invisible by the people in her life. But now Janice has turned that love in pure hatred and seeks to destroy those who she thinks wronged her namely Talen.
Will she succeed in her quest to destroy Maya, Talens new love?
Will she finally realize she needs help before she goes off the deep end and its too late?

First of make sure you have read Marking Her and Marking first or you will be lost reading this book.
Wow Janice is a certifiable nut and it clearly shows in this book. She has such a fixation on Talen and the fact that he has moved on from her with his new love Maya.
I honestly went into reading this trying to give Janice the benefit of the doubt but halfway thru I changed my mind.
Janice no longer has a firm grip on reality and it clearly shows.
Elena did an awesome job writing Janice's story and after the way the book ended I'm looking forward to the next book in this five star series.
We also get introduced to a few new characters that I'm interested in seeing and getting to know them more in upcoming books.

JANICE'S STORY WILL TEAR YOUR HEART OUT

In Marking Him and Marking Her, the previous books in the Marked series, we loved to hate Janice. I will not spoil the book for you guys, I will stop that comment there.

Elena takes us on a journey into the mind of mentally ill woman, that, at the moment lives in her own reality, one that has put at risk her life and the lives of other people.

Then there is Jaime, a club owner that is attached to a person that uses him to ease her pain, could he be the knight marked with tattoos for Janice. To know that, yes you guessed it, one click it, I swear you will not be disappointed, the series is amazing and this book is so good.

Lets talk a bit about Elena's writing. The way she portrays the mind of Janice is spot on with her mental issues. Is a very hard thing to do, and she did impeccably, also with a compassion that makes you delve so deep into the story, you want to cuddle and get help for the characters. I am telling you Elena is amazing at what she does and kudos to her because it is not a type of story that is easy to outline and write. 5 stars it is from me people, MUST BUY!!!

This book should replace the Bible as the most read book in the world. It portrays God better. It was Carl Jung who said that the subconscious mind was our God within. Williams begins by suggesting that we live our lives with little or no control over them or ourselves.
Looking around our world today, who could doubt it? If either side in the pathetic Middle east crisis practised their 'religion', the problem would cease to exist. The problem? What problem? The problem of outer-direction; of being led by the nose by others. This marvellous book makes a clear case for inner- or self-direction. We can't know ourselves by merely taking our consciousness for granted. And discovering ourselves is the reason we took on this limited life mission away from our real home. Only we forget that and get completely side-tracked. This book gets to the core of the problem of the fact that we go through life asleep, looking for a bit of pleasure here and a spot of comfort there. All to no avail. This book is a must read.

I hate to admit it

I am an incredibly stubborn person.... so needless to say buying this book was a huge step for me in regards to pushing my pride aside and realizing my social skills towards women needed a tune up. If you are like me you might feel some resistance towards admitting your game could use some work. A friend of mine actually had gone out with Adam on a few sessions personally and highly recommended him. If this friend wasn't my best, or someone I had trusted for years, I would have never considered a self help book like this. After reading this book I have noticed an immense change in my attitude which has not only transferred over to my work but just the enjoyment of life in general. I have been able to accomplish things in regards to meeting women that I never thought possible. After watching a few of Adams videos online I am in awe of what he has accomplished in regards to spreading his confidence to others. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.

First I want to say the cover is gorgeous!
I found this book on Amazon and though I would give it try. It sounds different and original. The premise of the book is pretty interesting and it did keep me turning the pages. I think the idea was great. The myth behind the tooth fairies that the world hears is far from the truth. The so called tooth fairies in this book are not at all interested in the teeth as much as they are in saving the world, so to speak.

The book was easy to get in to and the characters were interesting. The main characters were well described and pretty well built. The secondary characters fell flat at times, but not enough to take away from the story. The relationship between the two main characters felt real and honest to me, which I really love in my stories.

I did have a hard time following the story at times. The writing was good but did not flow as well as it could in parts of the book. I felt confused at the beginning; it took me a while to really understand what was happening. When I first started reading the book it was hard to see where the story was heading and that was a little frustrating. The truth behind Keira came quick and rushed. The story of Keira was really hard to follow for me at first. After a few more chapters I began to finally grasp Keira but still failed to see how the missing kids were connected. In the end it did come together and I was able to say to myself "ah now I get it" and figured the confusion must be intentional.

I did enjoy the story and I will continue to read the series to see how it ends; however I feel that I would have enjoyed the book a little more if it didn't feel rushed. I think more could have been included in the book and a slower pace would have done the story justice.

Awesome book! Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. This book is packed full of surprises! The characters seem so real and the story line just flows. It was very easy to become buried in the pages, and several hours passed before I even realized it. I can't wait for the second one!

Of Sun and Moon (Midnight Guardian Series,Book1) by Bryna Butler

I'm not sure how much I can express that I loved this novel. It's a bit out of my usual genre, but it grabbed my interest right from the start. Keira Ryan and Colby Hayes have been friends for life. So this seems to start our like one of those romance novels where the reader gets the sense right away that though they each are pursuing someone else they are meant for each other. But this is more than a romance novel; it's a fractured fairytale.(Guardian story.)

Keira has a secret she's kept even from Colby all these years. As a reader we get the sense of this early on, but the big reveal doesn't come till much later. The first third of the novel is spent mostly trying to convince us that they have an otherwise normal teen life going here. Were about to find out how untrue that is.

While Keira pursues William and Colby pursues Brooke we slowly get the sense that Keira is having some conflicting feelings. Of course right away Keira has other issues such as her explosive reaction to people teaching myths that she feels are inaccurate at best. This stems from the fact that she's secretly a tooth fairy-guardian. There are also some mysterious disappearances which will later factor into the whole story. All the while Keira is training with Nana, the woman who has raised her in place of her parents. Keira calls it piano lessens but it's far from that.

There is one thing that is almost annoying about the novel and that's the almost too easy shifting of Point of View. Mostly it's between Keira and Colby, but they often seem like conjoined twins so it actually works for them. There is at least one case where it happens within the same paragraph so I'm pretty sure there are some people I know who will have a problem with this one. Let that stand as a warning to you who know who you are.

The plot gets rather twisted and convoluted at times and surprises abound and I'm pretty sure there will be more surprises as the series moves onward. The characters are well rounded and as I mentioned the only distraction I had was the hopping back and forth between Colby and Keira almost a bit too leisurely, but for my tastes it works just fine because I could always keep track of whose head I was in.

Because of the withheld information in the first half of the novel some things do not make sense until everything unfolds at the end, which I thought worked out nicely.

This is a well written with a great plot and excellent characters good for lovers of YA Romance and Paranormal Fans.
