Blew up my view of church...

Having had the opportunity to read this book in the original language and having a side role in the translation to english I never thought it would have the impact on my believe system as it did. If you value traditional religion with all it's man made rules, regulations, intrepetations, theology you'd better not read it. This book will challenge the way we do church nowadays and gives the biblical blueprint how it should be done. All this is clearly laid down and explained with scriptural proof; the words of Jesus Christ and the actions of the disciples. I fully recommend this book to all searching for the true purpose of church.

Most refreshing thing Ive heard in 14 years

This is the most refreshing thing I have heard in my 14 yrs as a christian. Much of it goes against the grain of traditional christianity but that is a good thing. And thats why they are called reformations because they go against the grain. To "Reform" means to clean house of corruption and worthless tradition. Traditional christianity is for the most part ineffective and for the most part irrelevent. So this is what we need. Some will rail against it for fear of losing their place and status in the church system just as the jews railed against Jesus for fear of losing their place and status in the system. One thing about Torben is that he is not out to "attack" the church...he loves the church...and wants to see it operating the way it should like God does. Most pastors and "church" leaders and members are sincere people who are victims of a flawed system that is doomed for failure. The way I would describe the traditional church system is that it is "bad medicine"...in that people take medicine with good intent but if the medicine is bad they will get bad results. Another thing about Torben that gives him credibility is the fact that he has bonifide miricles, signs and wonders in his ministry that are undeniable, the sign of true "apostle". So, if you are happy in your church system maybe this book isnt for you. On the otherhand if you feel trapped in your church system or feel there is more to the christian life than what weve been taught than this book is for you...

Regain Your Focus

Finally, someone has written a book that conveys exactly what I believe - theologically and fundamentally. We (the church) have over-complicated the Gospel with our traditions, programs and religious skewed viewpoints. Torben takes the religious glasses off to reveal the true gospel of the Bible - no coloring or bias - just the message of the cross at face-value! Very refreshing. If you are looking for the truth because something about "church" or "denominationalism" doesn't "seem right", then you need to read this book and get back to the basics of Christianity. If you are happy with your religion and don't want to change to be more like Jesus, then you are going to be greatly challenged by what is written here. In fact, it's not just about what is written here, but you are probably greatly challenged already by what is written in God's Word and have to constantly put your religious glasses on to make the Word of God fit your and your religion's beliefs and traditions. Now is the time to get rid of all that indoctrination and return to the simple Gospel of Jesus Christ. This book will help you get there.
I would not say that this book is about Theology. It is not about following a mere man or his interpretations. This book is not even about man-made traditions or doctrines. It is about exposing those things and returning to the message of the scriptures and letting them be our foundation and "go-to" instead of church doctrines or beliefs. This book will help you remove all the denominational barriers and stumbling blocks. Anyone sitting around wondering why they are powerless, un-fulfilled, un-motivated or spiritually dry needs to get this book and let it help you get back to the simple basics of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
My question to you is this: Are you tired of the status-quo of the Sunday morning pew-sitting, chasing the latest "spiritual fad", trying to be "super-spiritual" by chasing miracles, lying signs and wonders of gold dust and spiritual drunkenness, in hope of "growing spiritually" to be what Jesus called you and saved you to be? Then start with this book and leave all that other rubbish behind. Let this book "spur you on" to being the hands and feet of Jesus.
